Job Description
Die Burger a division of Media24 is looking for a bright, talented individual to offer support to and assist the marketing team with the execution of marketing plans and activities. Die Burger is an Afrikaans newspaper published from Monday to Saturday in the Western, Eastern and Southern Cape. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Brand and Commercial manager.

Minimum Requirements
- Relevant
diploma or degree
withemphasis on marketing - At
least 1 – 2 years experience in a marketing environment.
- Experience
in a related industry will be advantageous.
- Proficiency
in relevant software packages and applications
- Candidate
must be willing to work long and irregular hours as and when needed

written and oral communication, presentation and telephonic skills
- Administrative
and time management skills
- Excellent
attention to detail
- Able
to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Able
to work on a number of different projects simultaneously
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist
the marketing team with the execution of all marketing plans (strategic
and tactical) that have been developed in consultation with the key
stakeholders;
- As
directed by the Marketing/Brand Manager, execute all marketing activities
around acquisition and retention campaigns and promotions to encourage
brand loyalty and to ensure product differentiation;
- Assist
with the planning and coordinating of marketing events and retention
campaigns and promotions to build brand equity as well as ensure product differentiation
. (festivals, exhibitions, workshops); - Develop
and sustain relationships with advertisers and other relevant media;
- Collect
and collate data required by the Marketing/Brand Manager to prepare
monthly departmental management reports;
- Perform
all
marketing administration functions (including reports) accurately and within the
required deadlines; - Support
the marketing team’s archive function by
efficiently filing and storing relevant
marketing material; - Provide
accurate and creative
copywriting and proofreading skills as directed by the - Marketing/Brand
Manager and work to pre-agreed deadlines; and
- Ensure
all printed promotional material is distributed as required.
