Introduction
A vacancy exists at our NPC Warehouse operation based in Isipingo for a Despatch Clerk. Responsible for the despatch function of the contract which includes professional management of drivers, a culture that promotes safety and enables the achievement of the goals set out by the company.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate.
• RAU Certificate or diploma will be an added advantage, or willingness to study towards one .
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a transport operations environment.
• Preference will be given to employment equity candidates.
• Strong, independent mind set.
• Computer literate.
• Must be prepared to work according to a set shift pattern which includes night shift and weekends.

Job Specification

• Working in a safety conscience environment and promoting a safe working culture.Able to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, management and subordinates.
• Self motivate with the ability to work to predetermined goals.
• Daily management of drivers and the driver roster.
• Experience with briefing, debriefing of drivers essential.
• Deadline orientated.
• Provide daily near misses, weekly safety samples, drivecam and vehicle checks.
• Perform vehicle tracking and communication to drivers.
• Support function to the Supervisor.
