The Role:
Execute the fulfillment of contractual sales transactions to satisfy Anglo American’s and customers’ contractual obligations. This includes providing sales operations support and customer service for 3rd party coal trading activities, relating to contract administration, customer contact for all freight and/or shipping coordination, transactional and documentary matters as well as 3rd party coal trading, and being the liaison between the Integrated Planning and IT teams.

Requirements:
  • Supply Chain or Logistics tertiary qualification (advantageous)
  • Trade finance instruments such as letters of credit, bank guarantees and relevant contractual requirements
  • Technical knowledge of sales and contract management
  • Relevant knowledge of shipping and laytime calculations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise deliverables under pressure
  • Sales operations experience, including sales and contract management, completing shipping and lay time calculations and using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), APS (Advance Planning and Scheduling) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and workflow management tools within the commodities industry
  • Experience within a complex organisation across different countries and jurisdictions, cultures, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluent written and spoken English is a pre-requisite
  • Commercial knowledge of customers and customer types
  • Logistics systems and understanding of the value chain
  • Trade finance knowledge
  • IT and System knowledge
  • Advance user of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Commercial Reasoning and Application skills
